AC-Power Switch Family Improved Power Control and Efficiency - CPC1962/72 The CPC1962 and CPC1972 are AC Solid State Switches using optical coupling with dual integrated SCR outputs to produce an ideal isolated triac driver. These switches are robust enough to provide blocking voltages of 600V, and 800V, respectively. They are well suited for industrial requirements requiring a robust isolation barrier and high noise immunity where electromagnetic interference disrupts the operation of electromechanical relays.

Power System Designers are well aware that the voltage and current spikes inherent in Power Supply and Motor Control circuits demand the use of highly reliable and robust Gate Driver ICs. IXYS’ new IXD_5XX family has been designed to achieve a remarkably strong resistance to noise, coupled with greatly enhanced immunity to latch-up. User logic options include versions which incorporate an Enable function for fast output shutdown. Further enhancing the value is the inclusion of a high-density DFN package option, occupying less than 65% of the board area of a typical 8-pin SOIC, available over the entire range of drive currents.
